in the Order of the Hist{ory}

   The whole Book of Genesis, is very {***torn} be received, asserted, and considered, as the {**torn} Glorious BIBLE.

[The Book of Genesis.]
   As a Supplement unto the Book of Genesis, {***torn} of the Genealogies in it, we may very agree{ably *torn}{start at} the Beginning of the Chronicles.
1. Chron. 1. All.
Adam, Sheth, Enosh, ———These are the Du{kes of Edom.}
   Now comes in the Book of Job. While Israel is in Egy{pt}and under horrible Degeneracy and Calamity, there is a glor{ious}Exemple of Piety in Arabia. It seems as if Elihu were {the} Writer of the History; for in the Thirty Second Chapter, he spe{aks} of himself as the Historian. Or exiled Moses might make this P{art?} unto his Friends in Egypt.
[The Book of Job.]
   We proceed now to the Book of Exodus; and we first {*torn} down, the Seventeen first Chapters of it.
[Exodus, from chap. 1. to chap. 17. All.]
Now these are the Names ——— from Generation to Ge{ne}ration.
   We reserve the Eighteenth Chapter of Exodus, to another Place {torn} and go on with the rest of the Book.
[Exodus, from chap. 19. to chap. 40. All.]
In the third Month ——— all their Jour{neys.}
   The Tabernacle being erected, there are Ordinances præscribed for it. The Book of Leviticus contains those Ordinances. There is the Story of but one Month in this Book; namel{y,} the First Month of the Second Year of the Deliverance of Israel. Only, we may do well, first of all, to insert the repeted Account of the wonderful thing that happened on the Day when the Tabernacle was reared.
Num. 9.15 ——— 23.
And on the Day that ——— by the Hand of Mose{s.}
   It may not be amiss here also, to insert, a further Order, ab{out} the Passeover, which had been formerly ordered.
Num. 9.1 ——— 14.
And the Lord spake ——— born in the Land.
The Silver Trumpetts were also made in this Time.
Num. 10.1 ———— 10.
And the Lord spake ——— the Lord your God.
   Now come in very agreeably, the Rules for Sacrifices, {*torn} from the Tabernacle; and the ensuing Consecration of the Priests; and some further Institutions, & Denunciations.
